Design Major: Blacktooth Carey Haider

-I met Carey Haider at a steezy scenester party in 2005 and have been a fan of his clothing line, blacktooth, ever since. His designs are always fresh and subtly controversial. He just released a ton of new designs, including the one below, which is one my favorites. You can check the new gear out at here.

Carey Haider's designs are in no way fresh. Nor are they controversial. They are pretty main stream and he is in no way original. Most of his designs are cut and pasted from others' works and/or ideas. He's just good at talking shit and getting his flimsy products out there.

how do you even consider that "fashion" ...in no way is that stylish or "fresh". its just a stupid t-shirt that has absolutely no class.

Hey this is Carey here(email me at blacktoothclothing@hotmail.com if you have any questions). I've always found it funny that people who talk trash remain anonymous. I would glad to sit down with every one of you and talk about your accusations cause a lot of the time they come from people who are sitting in there bedroom surfing the web and not actually creating. Blacktooth was started out as a creative outlet for me to make art all day. The whole point of it is to inspire and every day I answer emails to kids on how to screenprint and get your name out there. Its all about being by the people for the people and I would even be glad to show haters how to use their time wisely. My shirts were a highschool dream and I bootlegged concert tapes to fund making them at first. Ive always reinvested the profits back into the cause. I make what I like and will continue too whether people think its cool, un cool, or whatever your vocabulary is. At the end of the day its about making yourself happy. Make art not war.

someone is aloud to have an opinion on something. if someone doesnt find it classy or stylish then so be it. not everyone is going to like the t-shirt. plus, what was said was not an accusation, it was a personal opinion from someone. now, what you said who they may be, is an accusation. you dont know what they do or dont do. either way, everyone is allowed to have a say on something, and theres going to be a time when someone might just not like that SPECIFIC t-shirt. your other stuff may be more of their taste. you never know.

so before accusing them of being haters and losers sitting in their room doing nothing, just think that everyone has a different style and that style the t-shirt has...just isnt theirs. there is nothing wrong with that.

anyway - stay peaceful everyone.

i like that theres some debate going on, but really, if youre going to argue a point, spell things correctly. "aloud" does not equal "allowed"
just fyi

i should have known better. i definitely know how to spell allowed. apparently my brain shut down.

debating is good for sure.
