Faculty: Vito Schnabel

-When we started this site, one of our top priorities was to highlight the work of people who are our own age. Either we aren't trying hard enough or you guys need to step up the creativity, because, besides our recent piece on Asher Roth, the college set hasn't been getting much love.
-This month's Details has an excellent piece on Vito Schnabel, the 22-year old NYC art dealer who has been all over the place lately. Schnabel is the son of Julian: modern art giant, director of Basquiat and last year's The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, and pink real estate enthusiast. Nepotism aside, Vito has been holding his own as an art dealer and gallery curator, and has been romantically linked to Elle Macpherson. And that beer he's holding? He's barely old enough to drink it. Fortunately, Schnabel shares our optimism regarding today's young creative types. He tells Details, "I think that we are living in an interesting time, in which people really do care about what younger people think." Let's hope so.
