-An editorial memo that circulated a couple weeks back informed yours truly that we should probably throw a bit more high fashion into our steady stream of rap coverage. This was duly noted, but it has long been known that once you start up with hip-hop, well, "ya don't stop." Still, I found a way to compromise.
-Andre 3000, the unflinching dandy that he is, has introduced a new clothing line called Benjamin Bixby, named after a seasoned, worldy, and entirely fictional prep whose closet is filled with evidence of his global exploits. According to New York Magazine, the line's first pieces will revolve around a football team circa 1935. This ain't Rocawear, folks. The only rapper with truly inimitable style is finally getting a shot at designing, and we can't wait to see what he comes up with when Bixby drops this fall. Until then, check out Andre's list of Fashion Essentials on Style.com.

hey boys,
i found a piece of paper on the floor of the underground coffee shop months ago, when i was still a student, with the url for your blog on it. i've been a regular reader since then and have always wanted to put in my two cents to your posts.
i know at least one of you is a big kanye fan, and i just wanted to point out a little something: in his "us placers" video, wherein teen 'replicas' are used for kanye, lupe, and pharrell, the mini-lupe is wearing a shirt by pegleg nyc. i'm friends with one of the creators, harry mcnally, and think you would really like their line. it's a really interesting mix of throw-back 80's graphics and colors with current fits. check out peglegnyc.com if you feel so inclined.
anyhow, way to go with the blog, the theme and voice are impeccable and keep me coming back for more. of you ever need someone to give a female voice/ perspective, let me know.
