Professors: Bob Cousy

-I shot some hoops in Chuck Taylors the other day and it hurt my feet. I can't imagine playing whole games in them. Having no other inspiration, I've resorted to the played out blog tactic of searching the LIFE archive for inspiring images1. Basketball competes with skateboarding for the #3 spot in my list of passions (after music and style,) so I think I'll try to make something of this post2: Despite the obvious pain involved with playing  in Chucks, I'm inclined to point out that the original All-Star is stylistically superior to anything modern ballers are wearing3.
-If you're still with me, take a look after the jump for a few more great Cousy4 photos by Yale Joel.
1- A tactic usually reserved only for the Class Act Tumblr.
2- If I lost you already, it's okay, this post is obviously reaching for something that's not quite there.
3- Though Rasheed keeps it old school by still rocking Air Force 1s in-game.
4-Cousy is legit, but I still hate the Celtics vehemently.

School Supplies: HUF x Converse 1HUND(RED)

-We haven't posted about any sneakers in awhile, but that doesn't mean we haven't been looking. This HUF Converse collabo caught my eye. The shape is something we haven't really seen from Converse in awhile and the H-print is pretty dope. I never really like black sneakers, but I like the bit of texture the print adds. They're probably too limited for me to get my hands on though.

-First we have the Buster from the still impressive Etnies Plus line. Then Futura Laboratories
doing their thing with the classic Clarks Wallabee. Greedy Genius high tops. And finally, another collab to come out of the Converse 100th Anniversary collections, this time from mastermind Japan. more

Design Major: Wood Wood

-We first noticed Danish designers Wood Wood after their killer New Balance collaboration, and they have recently been involved in some equally ill joint ventures with Converse and Penfield.
-Penfield has had their share of collaborations recently, and this one looks especially promising. The weather is equally dismal in Copenhagen and Seattle, so I trust the Danes at Wood Wood to put together some solid outerwear.

-The Wood Wood Cons are part of the (Product) RED AIDs benefit program, and will release on October 1st.

-Wood Wood's Winter 2008 collection proves that they can, in fact, do alright on their own. Below, an interesting take on the classic Scandinavian sweater.
