School Supplies: Kanye x LV
-Normally I group my sneaker coverage together, but as an unapologetic fan of all things Kanye, I gave this one its own post. Check out what Yeezy had to say about the shoe in this Dazed Digital interview.

School Supplies: Kicks Rundown
-How about this week's kicks to break up the runway posts? Crazy primary colors from Timberland. Double Ring sneaker from Pierre Hardy. Van's tonal suede slip-ons. And my favorite, badass skater Terry Kennedy's new pro model from Supra, the Society. Check two even sicker colorways here.

Vacation is Over: Kicks
-We're back so post frequency should be back up to a normal regularity in the coming weeks. I've got a new computer and some new software that will improve everything blog-related. Here are some shoes you may have missed over the holiday.
-Kistune x Pierre Hardy, the colorway is French inspired but you could pretend it was American. Then some high-tops from Kris Van Assche, we previewed these a long time ago and now they're available. Alife x Reebok women's Pro Legacy Lux Freestyle, looks comfy. Then some Nike hybrid boat shoe-like sneakers, the Mad Jibe.

Dress Code: Married to the Mob x Nike
- We here all know my love and appreciation for the work of Leah McSweeney and the Married to the Mob crew. Known for their high and low profile collaborations with names both big and small, this next one is no less legit. In true MOB spirit, this Nike Dunk Supreme manages to keep it ladylike without losing any ounce of boss bitch steeze.
-An homage to the legendary Coco Chanel the shoes feature white tweed, patent black leather trim and super clean gold accents all inspired by those classic cap-toed flats and signature jackets.- Word on the blogosphere is that the kicks will be dropping at Patta on November 8th. Since they're only available to Tier-0 accounts, those of us stateside are going to have to keep waiting for more release dates and locations. I'll keep you posted.

Design Major: Nash Customs
-We try to stray from sneaker culture hype as much as possible, but we can't help but respect the true craftsmen who generate truly unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. A rarely seen process, this video shows the elite British sneaker customizer Nash Money doing what he does best. A very interesting video for anyone with an appreciation for design. more

Podiatry: Kicks of the Week
-It's been awhile since I've done one of these so let's see what we have: Firstly, Nike SB gives its most iconic design, the Tre A.D., a McFly colorway makeover. Next we've got the Pony Randy Moss line which includes both on/off field kicks. Then yet another Supra Skytop colorway, this time in blue and tigerstripe. Lastly some classic Vans slip-ons. There you go.

Podiatry: Greco Supes Up
-There wasn't enough to do a week in kicks this week but I wanted to share this because Jim Greco is a badass, and Supra is killing it this year. As a seminal member of skating's most notorious crew, the Piss Drunx, Greco is one of the few pros keeping punk rock alive. Greco followed the success of the Skytop and went high with the Suprano high pro model.

Podiatry: This Week in Kicks
-The overarching theme for this weeks kicks is nostalgia: First we have these 'leather jacket' Chucks from the 100th Anniversary collection, be sure to click the picture and check the detail (the zippers on there are nuts). Next are these Jun Watanabe for Topper, theres not really a nostalgia connection there but whatevs. Then some rubber-coated canvas Chucks, this time from the John Varvatos for Converse line. Then some Adidas slip-ons designed by skate legend Mark Gonzales. Lakai hits us with a Where the Wild Things Are themed hi-top, and rounding off the nostalgia is this Puma Goonies inspired runner. Anyone who grew up in the 80s/90s and lives in the Northwest better be pumped on anything Goonies.

Podiatry: This Week in Kicks
-In trying to avoid becoming just another regurgitating streetwear blog, I've decided to limit kick coverage to a once weekly rundown of the shoes that caught my eye. Extremely notable collaborations and real (see: non-sneaker) shoe news may be exempt from this feature.
-The four shoes I picked this week are somewhat contextually linked - it goes like this:
-Junya Watanabe has been going nuts this year, and he does it again here with his collaborative boot for Vans. Notice the wingtip, a classic form reinvented in an innovative boot. Speaking of innovative use of the wingtip, we see these Clae sneakers, which meld a classic sneaker form with the even more classic wingtip, bringing a touch of maturity to the sneaker. We continue with these clean red sneaks, also from Clae's 2008 fall/winter line. And we bring it full circle by coming back Vans, and the Sk8-LX Hi. It's always good to have a place to stash something.

Design Major: Follow-up KVA Kicks
-Fittingly, right after our review of the KVA Spring 09 show, in which I mentioned his use of sneakers, Hypebeast informs us of the official KVA sneaker release. Like I said in my earlier post, the fact he's doing innovative sneakers really illustrates his age against the more storied designers. I'm surprised by how divergent the forms he's using are, most designer labels make a white sneaker and throw a logo on it and charge $300 for them .
-However, I don't know if I'd choose these over some Common Projects if I was planning on dropping $300 on designer sneaks.
