-Brands like No Mas and UNDRCRWN have been coming up with some ill sports-influenced streetwear, but LA boutique & Still has taken it a step further, carrying products by the aforementioned brands along with a ton of authentic throwback sports gear. I found the store completely by accident, but upon entering I was transported back to my elementary school days, where the playground was dominated by snapback hats, puffy Sonics coats and Orlando Magic jerseys. The store delivers a heavy dose of nostalgia while also staying relevant with a solid selection of current streetwear. & Still is located on La Brea right next to Undefeated and Stussy.

Dress Code: No Mas x 1986 Mets
-Today's Mets loss marked their final game at Queens, NY's historic Shea Stadium. While I briefly mentioned Dwight Gooden a while back, I thought it necessary to further explore the legacy of the 1986 Mets, which included Gooden, Darryl Strawberry, and Seinfeld pretty boy Keith Hernandez. The team's various legal troubles made them the most infamous crew in Queens (aside from a rapper or two), and neither Gooden nor Strawberry ever reached their full potential.
-We have always been fans of UNDRCRWN's animated idolization of sports figures. However, New York's No Mas has taken a different approach to sports-influenced streetwear, with modified vintage sportswear and messages as cynical as they are celebratory. Above, Strawberry's legacy lives on. Below, some No Mas tributes to Wilt the Stilt and Pablo "Vinny Chase" Escobar.

PoliSci: Barackawear
-All this RNC business is getting pretty sketchy, so I thought I would take a moment to up Barack during these trying times. In the stylistic spirit of this site, we decided to examine the sartorial connotations of the looming election. We have been seeing a huge number of Obama tees lately, so we thought we would save you some time by handpicking the steeziest ones.
-The most common Barack tees seem to be the ones sold on his website. The designs are generally simple and straightforward, but there are a few gems (like the face tee below). Proceeds go directly to the campaign, so it's money well spent.
-Sons of Liberty have a bunch of Obama tees out, most of them based around clever wordplay and Michael J. Fox.
-KarmaLoop has a few choices for the ladies as well, from Sons of Liberty and Rocksmith.
-The video below features CA All-Star Spike Lee at the Democratic National Convention. His Obama shirt is easily the illest one we've seen. UNDRCRWN has once again outdone themselves with this apt parody of Nike's controversial Hyperdunk ads. As Spike so eloquently put it, "This is Barack Obama takin' John McCain to the hole." Now let's hope he can finish.

PhysEd: NBA x UNDRCRWN
The last few months have been pretty hectic as far as the NBA is concerned, and we haven't done the best job of keeping our readers up to date. While we were busy praising Akomplice for their NBA-conscious streetwear, another company took it to a new level. UNDRCRWN is obviously more on top of it then we are, so we welcome their help in recapping the latest hoop developments:
-While our PDX affiliates couldn't seem to care less, us 206ers are still reeling from the loss of the Sonics. They can take Robert Swift, but they can never take away those glorious years before Shawn Kemp gave up basketball in favor of weed and fatherhood.
-While the Supes were on their way out, the new Celtics dynasty got to hang a banner in the Garden. Since I'm from Boston originally, I was stoked enough to forget about the Sonics for a few days. Apparently UNDRCRWN decided to get nostalgic with this one, but I can't complain.
-This one speaks for itself. Genius idea, but as we've said before, there is only one. Unfortunately, Nas tees tend to be either impossible to find or pretty much unwearable. We'll be reviewing his new album, Untitled (sort of), later on this week.
-Finally, UNDRCRWN teamed with adidas to design a series of tees for the 2008 NBA Draft, including this one of our boy Jerryd Bayless. Bay is killin it in summer ball like he's got two states on his back. Dare I say, I could get used to this.
