School Supplies: Supreme x North Face

-Supreme is absolutely killing it this week. First came their long-awaited collaboration with The North Face, which produced a set of three colorful Denali jackets. I loved the idea behind the Trans-Antarctic series Denali, but I wasn't impressed by most of the color choices. The Supreme collaboration is a little more subtle, but the jackets are original enough to break the standard North Face monotony. As for the Trans-Antarctic series, yet another edition (below) was released last week to commemorate the company's 40th anniversary.
-Always a step ahead, Supreme was also one of the first companies to release the down flap New Eras that gained popularity during this year's World Series. We have been waiting for these for months, and it is no surprise that Supreme is one of the first companies to make them available.

Extracurriculars: Halloween Hip Hop

-Halloween weekend was nuts in Bellingham this year, with Collie Buddz and Macklemore playing on Thursday and Method Man and Redman closing it out on campus last night. Macklemore is one of Seattle's best MCs, and we'll have more on him in the future.
-I don't care about Freaks and Geeks or Arrested Development. The most grievous cancellation of the past decade was FOX's untimely axing of Method and Red. Regardless, the two are apparently staying busy. In addition to their new record, Blackout 2, and a sequel to their movie How High, Redman announced they will be collaborating with Adidas on a Blackout 2 themed sneaker.
-On a stylistic note, Redman donned a North Face vest and seemed to fit in pretty well with the "drunk ass, Ramen noodle eating motherfuckers" in attendance. Plus, Method got his hands on a Yankees New Era with the Elmer Fudd flap, which still hasn't been released to the public. more

PhysEd: Elmer Fudds

-As the Devil Rays and Phillies battle it out in Game 5 of the World Series, one can't help but notice that the Rays have adjusted to the frigid temperatures in a rather steezy way. While New Era ball caps are usually replaced with something a bit warmer come wintertime, a new, warm version featuring a fleece earflap has been popularized by this year's Devil Rays squad.
-The caps, known to some as Elmer Fudds, feature the iconic MLB logo on both sides of the fleece, a league-mandated detail that ends up being one of the cap's coolest features. I was trying to find a Mariners version for the winter, and I stumbled across a clutch New York Times article detailing the sudden rise of the Fudd. Expect these to hit stores soon. more
