PoliSci: Palin and The Handmaid's Tale

-Today Jezebel had a piece comparing Sarah Palin's policies to the sexually oppressive theocratic future imagined in Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale. While it's a fairly easy task finding similarities between almost any dystopian fiction and the modern American sociopolitical state, this examination was an interesting read. Although, as I was assigned this book as part of a class, I didn't actually read it. But I did sparknote it, so I got the gist of it. Anyway, if you're into that type of thing, check it out. more
